Our Story
I grew up just outside Toronto, where summer meant one thing: piling into the car and heading north to Algonquin. Those weeks in the backcountry — the smell of pine after rain, the sound of a canoe cutting through still water — planted something in me long before I understood what it was. It was the first time I learned that a place could hold a feeling, and that the feeling could stay with you long after you left.
Years later, a summer job brought me out west, and almost by accident, I landed in Lake Louise. I remember the first time I saw that water — the impossible turquoise, the mountains standing over it like they'd been there waiting. I never really left. What started as a season turned into a life built around these mountains, these trails, this particular kind of quiet you only find at elevation.
Wander was born from that whole journey — Algonquin's forests, Lake Louise's stillness, every trail in between. Each candle is a small piece of a place that changed me, made for anyone who's ever found themselves somewhere unexpected and thought: I want to remember this.
